If you look closely you will see a perfectly crafted sika hiding at the foot of this mug. This is the female of the sika pair, the male being the Hidden Sika Leap. Pengfei created this sika for his wife to express his trust in her.
He repeatedly experimented with firing and stress tests until he was satisfied that the mug was robust as well as beautiful. It is created in high-purity kaolin clay from Jingdezhen.
