The adorable napping fox on the lid of this perfectly formed mug was inspired by the fox in Saint-Exupéry’s The Little Prince. He is waiting to be befriended and tamed by the Little Prince himself.

MYSTERY

When Pengfei and his wife were in a long distance relationship, he created the characters of the Hidden Sika and the Little Fox as a token of his love for her. The sika represents love and happiness in Chinese culture. The fox was inspired by the character in Saint-Exupéry’s “The Little Fox”. The fox wanted to be tamed by The Little Prince so that he would have permanent ties to him. Pengfei believes in the importance of giving in love, and the charming creatures he has created represent this belief.

All of the pieces are made from Jingdezhen’s famous high-purity kaolin clay and are finished with an icy blue glaze, a traditional colour first used in Jingdezhen in the late 10th century.
